Paolo Di Canio Quits Swindonby Jack Kitson / 18 February 2013, 19:34Tweet
Paolo Di Canio has sensationally resigned as manager of Swindon Town. The Italian reportedly wanted to leave last Tuesday but has now appeared to have packed his bags and leave the County Ground following months of discontent.
Di Canio took charge of Swindon in May 2011 and went on to win League Two in his first season in charge. The Robins have continued to improve this campaign and are currently knocking on the door of promotion to the Championship. The former West Ham player leaves the club 6th in League One and just three points off top spot. In total he won 54 of his 95 games in charge.
The news will be unbearable for many Swindon fans who have come to love the colourful gaffer. He has lit up English football since his return as a manager but is sure to be back in the management arena soon. The odds for his replacement will appear on the following link when available: Next Swindon Manager Odds.
