Paul Ince Confirmed As New Blackpool Bossby Jack Kitson / 18 February 2013, 16:31Tweet
As expected Paul Ince has become the new manager of Championship side Blackpool after signing a one-year rolling contract. The former England captain will team up with son Tom Ince who is one of the brightest young stars in the Championship. This will be Ince's first job back in management since April 2011 when he left Notts County, with the 45-year-old previously managing MK Dons (twice), Blackburn Rovers and Macclesfield Town.
Ince is now the Seasiders' third manager of a disruptive campaign, which has seen both Ian Holloway and Michael Appleton depart for other Championship clubs. He takes over a side that are currently 14th in the league, 10 points off the play-offs and six above the relegation zone.
Ince's first match in charge of the Tangerines will be away to Leeds on Wednesday. Paddy Power have handed the visitors odds of 15/8 to come away with the win, while Leeds have been installed as the hot 11/8 favourites.
