Preston North End Appoint Simon Grayson

Preston North End have today (Monday) named Simon Grayson as their new manager. The League One side sacked Graham Westley last week, with Grayson instantly emerging as the hot favourite in the betting. It has now been confirmed that he will take charge of the Deepdale club, while caretaker manager John Dreyer will remain with the coaching team.
Grayson has impressievly led Huddersfield Town, Leeds and Blackpool to promotion from League One up to the Championship and he will now be gunning to do the same with Preston. He was sacked by the Terriers last month following a torrid run of games but will now look to bounce back and make an impact at Deepdale.
The Lilywhites, 17th, are currently eight points above the relegation zone following a poor few months. However, they recorded a shock 2-0 win over league leaders Bournemouth at the weekend, which will boost their confidence ahead of Grayson's first match in charge away to sixth placed Swindon on Saturday.
