Sam Allardyce set to leave West Hamby Jack Kitson / 19 May 2015, 09:49Tweet
West Ham will inform Sam Allardyce that his services are no longer required next Monday, according to the latest ramblings of the rumour mill. Speculation is rife that Big Sam will be given the boot 24 hours after West Ham's final game of the season, a match which could see the 60-year-old relegate his former club Newcastle.
- Big Sam could be set for his final Hammers game on Sunday.
- The Iron have won just 2 of their last 16 league & cup matches.
As for the potential replacements, Rafa Benitez remains the odds-on favourite with all bookmakers in the Next West Ham Manager Market, although both his availability and interest in the vacancy are unknown. The Spaniard is currently in charge of Napoli, but his future at the Serie A side - who were stunned in the Europa League by Dnipro last week - remains up in the air.
The Iron's number one target is former Man Utd gaffer David Moyes, but the chances of luring the Scot over from Spain appear to be slim, given that he is enjoying life at La Liga outfit Real Sociedad. Besiktas boss, and former Hammer, Slaven Bilic is also attracting attention at 5/1 (Sky Bet), while Eddie Howe and Michael Laudrup are both hovering out at 20/1.
