Michael Laudrup appointed Lekhwiya managerby Jack Kitson / 01 July 2014, 12:52Tweet
Michael Laudrup has returned to the dugout with Qatari club Lekhwiya after signing a one-year contract with the Doha based side. The 50-year-old Dane had been out of action since leaving Swansea City back in February but has now returned to the dugout in what is a surprise move. Furthermore Laudrup has revealed that it may be his last post in football.
Laudrup led the Swans to an historic Capital One Cup success, and this Europa League qualification, back in February 2013. However, a year later and he had been sacked by the Welsh club following a poor run of form. The former Barcelona and Real Madrid star had since been linked with a number of clubs, including Southampton, Tottenham and West Brom, but has now instead opted to mark his return to the management arena with the Qatar champions.
