Jose Mourinho hints at Chelsea returnby Jack Kitson / 01 May 2013, 09:31Tweet
Jose Mourinho has given his strongest indication yet that he will make a dramatic return to England this summer. In the aftermath of Real Madrid's Champions League exit to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday Mourinho revealed that he wants to be "where people love me to be", fuelling speculation that he will return to former club Chelsea.
Blues supporters will now be eagerly rubbing their hands in excitement at the prospect of having "The Special One" back at the Bridge. In three seasons at the club Mourinho won two league titles (his first with a record points haul of 95), an FA Cup, two League Cups and the Community Shield. The 50-year-old can now be found at just 1/8 in the Next Chelsea Manager Betting, with Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini his closest challenger at 10/1, while David Moyes is priced at 20/1.
Since leaving Chelsea by mutual consent in September 2007 Mourinho went on to win a stunning treble with Inter Milan, becoming only the second man to win the Champions League with two different clubs. He left Italy to become Real boss in May 2010 and has gone on to led the Spanish Giants to a La Liga title, Copa Del Rey, Supercopa de Espana and three Champions League Finals.
Real came agonisingly close to completing a miraculous comeback against Dortmund on Tuesday but their two late goals at the Bernabeu meant they fell just short as they suffered a 4-3 aggregate defeat. However, Mourinho still has the chance to end the season with some silverware when Real lock horns with local rivals Athletico Madrid in the Copa Del Rey Final on May 17.
