County Bag Curle

League One club Notts County have appointed Keith Curle as manager just 2 days after severing ties with Martin Allen. Curle, who recently followed Neil Warnock out of the door at Queens Park Rangers takes over with the magpies firmly entrenched in mid-table some 8 points behind in the race for a play-off spot.
After a positive first half of the season under Martin Allen, county have slowly ebbed down the table with some inconsistent results, the latest of which, a 3-0 defeat by Hartlepool, proved to by the final straw for Allen. Allen leaves after only 10 months at Meadow Lane.
Curle, who has previously enjoyed managerial stints at Torquay, Chester and Mansfield as well as teaming up with Warnock at Crystal Palace and latterly QPR, is believed to have rejected a change to join Warnock at Elland Road for this opportunity.
