Paul Ince on the brink of the sack at Blackpool

According to reports Paul Ince is set to be sacked by Blackpool after crisis talks with the club's chairman Karl Oyston. The duo were locked in an emergency meeting on Sunday night following a shocking run of form which has seen the Tangerines lose nine and draw one of their last 10 games in all competitions, with Saturday's 2-0 loss at basement club Barnsley appearing to be the final straw.
The club’s slump from grace has been staggering. Back in September the Seasiders were flying high at the top of the table after enjoying their best ever start to a season, having picked up 16 points from 18. However, they have since plummeted down the table after recording just one win since October, while they haven’t scored in the league since Boxing Day (four matches).
All confidence has evaporated from Ince's depleted troops (14th) who are nearer the relegation zone (eight points) than the play-offs (nine points). The under-fire boss recently had his training methods slated by striker Michael Chopra, while the future of his son, midfielder Tom Ince, is causing multiple problems due to a conflict of interests. There is now every chance that Ince's time at Bloomfield Road could soon be up, and there is every possibility that he may be unemployed come Saturday’s game at home Doncaster.
