Mourinho Gets Vote Of Confidence From Man United Board But He Could Be Out Before Christmasby Sean Raymond / 21 August 2018, 09:48Tweet
Jose Mourinho has received the dreaded vote of confidence from the Manchester United board as speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford continues to grow.
The Portuguese Manager is under increasing pressure at United following the teams shocking 3-2 defeat at Brighton on Sunday, and many are suggesting that his now traditional third season implosion is in full swing.
Reports this week have suggested that Zinedine Zidane is being lined up as the next gaffer at the club but sources close to the club have refuted those rumours according to various outlets.
Speculation continues to grow following a shocking transfer window which saw United bring in just one player of note and failing to address their search for a centre halve, despite being linked with a host of names including Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweirald.

Despite the backing from the board, the bookmakers are less convinced that the special One will be at the club for too much longer with the former Real Madrid all over the Sack Race at the moment.
Ladbrokes rate Mou as an odds on shot to have left the club before Father Christmas squeezes down the chimney which highlights the situation at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
United have lurched from one crisis to another since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson with David Moyes and Louis Van Gal both failing to produce the goods. Mourinho was brought in as "win now" manager but even that plan looks to be falling apart given the lack of support fro the board during the transfer window.
The Next Premier League Manager to be sacked betting now has Mourinho as the clear favourite to be the next gaffer to walk the plank and it does feel like the walls are closing on on the former Porto Coach.
The dreaded vote of confidence has arrived and we all know what happens next...
