Gary Bollan Favourite In St Johnstone Manager Betting

Gary Bollan has been installed as the early favourite in the Next St Johnstone Manager Betting following Derek McInnes departure to Championship side Bristol City. Bollan, who is currently in charge of Scottish Football League First Division side Livingston, has been handed odds of 2/1 with Stan James. For the time being St Johnstone club coach Alec Cleland and former Chelsea player Jody Morris have been put in charge for Saturday's Tayside derby against Dundee United.
Whoever replaces McInnes certainly has a tough act to follow. During his four years at the club he guided them up to the Scottish Premier League and made them an established side in Scotland's top flight, with back-to-back eighth place finishes. It was only a matter of time before and English club came calling and McInnes leaves the club sitting nicely in fifth place, just a point behind giants Celtic.
Bollan has emerged as the early favourite with the Livingston boss credited with being one of the talented upcoming managers in Scotland. David Weir's odds have been cut from 10/1 to 11/4 making the Rangers veteran one of the leading candidates to replace McInnes. However, he may be a vastly experienced player but he has no managerial experience which may hinder his chances. Elsewhere Jody Morris is available at 4/1, while experienced SPL managers John Hughes and Jim Jefferies, who are both without a club, have been handed odds of 14/1 to take charge of St Johnstone.
St Johnstone lock horns with rivals Dundee United in the Tayside derby on Saturday. Stan James have priced home side, Dundee United, as the 1/1 favourites while The Saints have been priced at 13/5 to come away with the three points, with a draw available at 12/5.
All odds supplied by Stan James.
