Rafa Benitez Uncertainty Leads To Shake Up In Betting Markets

Paul Smith by Paul Smith / 22 December 2010, 12:18

The uncertainty surrounding the future of Rafa Benitez as Manager of Inter Milan has had a major affect on a number of betting markets over the past 24 hours a day with the Spaniard tipped for a return to the Premier League. There have been reports that Benitez has been sacked as Inter Milan Manager but there has been no offical word leaving punters with some tough choices to make over the Christmas period. If and when Benitez is sacked from the San Siro it could spark something of a Managerial merry-go-round with Fabio Capello linked with a move back to Milan to manage Inter, leaving the path open for Harry Redknapp to become England Manager earlier than expected.

Redknapp has been slashed in the Next Premier League Manager To be Sacked Betting as a result of the potential moves and the Spurs fans will be getting a little bit worried, it had been expected that Harry would take charge after Capello's contract expired in 2012 but that could now be brought forward if Capello decides to jump ship back to Italy. Capello is well respected in Italy with his exploits over the past 20 years and he could be seen as the ideal replacement for Benitez who has been struggling at Inter since taking over from Jose Mourinho in the summer. Benitez is in England for the Christmas period and he may now be looking for a way back into management and the Premier League in particular, with that in mind the former Liverpool Manager is now featuring in the Next Blackburn Manager Odds following the sacking of Sam Allardyce.

Benitez may want to head straight back to the Premier League and with Blackburn close to his Wirral home he could be the man for the Indian owners at Ewood Park, he would be the big name they are after but there has to be some doubt as to wehther a Manager like Benitez would go to Blackburn after Managing Valencia, Liverpool and Inter Milan. The Sack Race reported earlier this week that Benitez was on the edge at Inter Milan and it now appears that his ultimatum to Massimo Moratti has landed him the sack, that move has caused uncertainty in England and the bookmakers are continuing to watch developments very closely.
