Keith Curle Tops Next Coventry Manager Bettingby Sean Raymond / 22 February 2013, 10:26Tweet
Keith Curle has emerged as the leading contender for the vacant Coventry City job according to the bookies. The Sky Blues have been on the hunt for a new gaffer since Mark Robins left the club for Huddersfield and it appears that Curle is the man in pole position.
The former Man City Defender was sacked as Notts County Manager at the start of the month but the signs are that he could set for a quick return to League 1. At the time of writing, Keith Curle was as short as 6/4 in the Next Coventry City Manager Betting with suggestions that an appointment could be on the horizon. Coventry just missed out on a Wembley Final during the week, but they do remain in the hunt for a play-off place this season which should ensure an appointment is made as soon as possible.
There are still one or two other candidates under consideration at this stage with caretaker boss, Lee Carsley and Phil Brown chief among them. Carsley is popular with the fans but is inexperienced in the hot seat, while Phil Brown has the necessary experience but is likely to be an unpopular appointment with the fans. At this stage though it appears that Keith Curle is the likely candidate for the Ricoh hot seat but it remains to be seen how popualr that choice will be to the fans.
