Jose Mourinho wins Barclay's Manager of the Year gong

Jose Mourinho may not have won a single Manager of the Month award, but the Chelsea boss has had the last laugh after picking up the Barclay's Manager of the Year gong for the third time in his career.
Mourinho was inspirational in orchestrating Chelsea's surge to their fifth top-flight title, with the Blues topping the table for a staggering 274 days, which is unsurprisingly a Premier League record. The personal award caps an impressive season for the Portuguese coach, who led his troops to Capital One Cup glory back in March.
Mourinho will now be bidding to bag the LMA Manager of the Season award, an accolade he has never received, despite previously winning the title on two occasions during his first spell at the Bridge. The 52-year-old remains the favourite to break his duck, although he faces tough competition from the likes of Bournemouth's Eddie Howe, and Southampton gaffer Ronald Koeman.
