Steve Lomas still struggling to win over Millwall fansby Jack Kitson / 23 December 2013, 13:28Tweet
The under-fire Steve Lomas is yet to win over the majority Millwall fans since his controversial appointment during the summer, with Saturday's 2-0 defeat at home to Middlesbrough not doing him any favours. A plethora of boos greeted the final whistle as frustrated Lions fans vented their anger towards the former Hammers player whose side have now won just one of their last 12 matches.
Back-to-back defeats means the Championship club are hovering nervously above the relegation zone in 19th. Up next are consecutive away games to out-of-form Watford and relegation rivals Doncaster, before they host high flying Leicester City on New Year's Day. Lomas insists he can turn it around and in the process win over the disgruntled fans, although further defeats over the Christmas period will leave him in severe danger of losing his job.
Millwall can currently be found at 7/2 with Bet Victor to suffere relegation at the end of the season. Meanwhile they can currently be found at 26/5 to finish in the top-12, while they are a 150/1 shot to storm back in the second-half of the season and win promotion to the Premier League.
