Leonardo Jardim set for Monaco stay amid Chelsea rumoursby Jack Kitson / 23 May 2018, 21:07Tweet
It's been a busy day in the managerial arena with Unai Emery joining Arsenal, and Carlo Ancelotti replacing Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, but one man who looks to be staying put is Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim.
Jardim has long been linked with a move over to the Premier League, with his name cropping up in relation to the Arsenal job after Arsene Wenger's departure was confirmed, while he's also been touted as a future Chelsea head coach.
However, the Portuguese coach has seemingly quashed the Blues rumours - for now - after telling RMC Sport:
“I am fortunate to have Dmitry Rybolovlev as president, we have a relationship of trust, we have been working together for four years, and he is a president of great quality: to know how to take the important decisions to make forward the club.
“We will continue together for the future and continue to progress the project of AS Monaco.”
Now we all know that things in football can change in a flash, and should Chelsea part ways with Antonio Conte then make their interest known in Jardim, he may suddenly change his mind.
However, for the time being he looks set to continue next season and attempt to wrestle back the Ligue 1 title from PSG, who will be led by Thomas Tuchel after the German replaced Emery at the helm.
Here is Jardim enjoying his holidays!
