Brighton target MK Dons boss Karl Robinsonby Jack Kitson / 24 December 2014, 08:51Tweet
Karl Robinson has emerged as the new favourite to succeed Sami Hyypia at Brighton & Hove Albion after Sky Bet slashed the gaffer's odds from 12/1 down to 7/4. However, the Next Brighton Manager Market remains tight at the top, with Tony Pulis hot on Robinson's heels at 7/2, whereas Tim Sherwood can be backed at 4/1, while Uwe Rosler and Nigel Adkins have both drifted out to 12/1.
Robinson has caught the eye following an impressive season at MK Dons, with whom the 34-year-old led up into the League One automatic promotion places following Saturday's club record 7-0 demolition of Oldham. The stunning scoreline moved the Dons into second spot, and within one point of the summit, while it extended their impressive streak to 11 matches undefeated.
According to reports Brighton have approached the Dons in the open that they will be granted permission to speak to the talented young manager, who has been in charge since 2010. The Seagulls are likely to be rebuffed considering the impressive form the Dons are enjoying at the moment, with the club eyeing up top spot on Boxing Day. Meanwhile Brighton face Reading on Friday under the tutelage of caretaker boss Nathan, who can be backed at 33/1 (Paddy Power) in the betting.
