Chelsea are set to sack club legend Frank Lampard after one-and-a-half-seasons at the helm, report The Athletic and other major outlets, with Thomas Tuchel believed to be coming over in the other direction.

Lampard has come under huge pressure following a poor run of results in the Premier League, which saw Chelsea slip out of the title race down to 9th.
The Blues responded with a victory at home to Luton over the weekend as they progressed through to the FA Cup fifth round, however Roman Abramovich is now about to pull the managerial trigger once again.
It's Tuchel who is reportedly set for Stamford Bridge, with a number of bookmakers suspending the betting on the German replacing Lampard.
Who is Tuchel?
Tuchel’s playing career ended aged just 25 due to injury. He put the disappointment behind him and studied Business Administration at university, and simultaneously worked as a barman.
He learnt the managerial ropes at various U19s teams in Germany, led the Mainz youth side to the title, then stepped up to take charge of the first team, where he succeeded Jurgen Klopp.
He impressed in his first senior job, propelling Mainz into Europe for the first time in their history following a 5th-place finish.
He attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, and after replacing Klopp once more his side outscored Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, but finished runners-up.
In his second season he won the German Cup, but left following a breakdown in relations with chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke.
Thomas Tuchel will reportedly replace Frank Lampard at Chelsea
Tuchel spent a year out of management to refresh, where he travelled to Italy and spent his time going to gigs and museums, before returning to the dugout with French giants PSG in the summer of 2018.
In his first season in charge he won the league and Trophée des Champions, only to then oversee a hugely dominant 2019/2020 campaign during which PSG enjoyed a clean sweep of four domestic honours, which they nearly transformed into a quintuple only for the Champions League trophy to elude them in the final against Bayern Munich.
Tuchel was then sacked by the club on Christmas Eve - he was replaced by former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino - however, his stay on the sidelines is set to be a brief one, with the 47-year-old now set to join fellow countryman Klopp in the Premier League.
What can Chelsea fans expect from Tuchel?
“My philosophy is an aesthetic one: aesthetic means to control the ball, the rhythm, to attack in every minute, and to try and score as many goals as possible,” he previously said.
In short, Chelsea fans can expect winning football, filled with adventure and entertainment.
Tuchel is famed for his tactical versatility, emotional intelligence, his ability to push players out of their zone - take note Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, with whom he’ll be tasked with rejuvenating following their underwhelming performances - while he’s an expert at analysing the opposition and finding solutions. He also has plenty of experience of managing egos, which should come in handy in England.
