Rosler, Westley and Sheringham all linked with Fleetwood Town

Fleetwood Town’s pre-season preparations have been thrown in the air following the surprise departure of Steven Pressley, who decided to leave his post earlier today (Tuesday). The Cod Army will now be frantically assessing their options as they bid to find a rapid replacement for the 42-year-old.

At the moment the odds are constantly fluctuating, as is usually the case in the immediate aftermath of a managerial departure, with no stand-out favourite present in the betting.
But, three names who do catch the eye at this early stage are Uwe Rosler, Graham Westley and Teddy Sheringham.
The trio are each out of work and would each no doubt jump at the chance to leap back into the managerial arena ahead of the new season.
Rosler (2/1) has had spells at fellow Football League clubs Brentford, Wigan and Leeds, but has been out in the wilderness since October when he became one of Massimo Cellino’s managerial victims at Leeds.
Next in the running is Graham Westley at 4/1. The 48-year-old spent the majority of last season in charge of Peterborough (September 2015 - April 2016), while he’s previously managed the likes of Stevenage (x3) and Preston.
Managerial newbie Teddy Sheringham’s first spell in the dugout with Stevenage didn’t go quite to plan last term, however the former England striker will be gunning to have another crack in management.
Other early contenders include Kevin Watson, David Wright and Adrian Pennock, while the former England boss Steve McClaren can be backed at 16/1.
