David Moyes suffers fan backlash after Manchester derby defeat

Manchester United's mini-revival was shattered on Tuesday night after they suffered a comprehensive 3-0 defeat at home to fierce rivals Manchester City. United fans were left fuming with David Moyes at the final whistle, while Sir Alex Ferguson also came in for criticism for his part in appointing his fellow countryman.
Moyes, who is priced at 13/2 (Sky Bet) in the Premier League Sack Race, once again took responsibility for the defeat, but there is only so much disappointment that the supporters can take. The loss means that the Red Devils remain 7th in the table, a whopping 18 points behind league leaders Chelsea, and 12 adrift of the top-4, with even a Europa League spot now looking unlikely. United are also now doomed to register their lowest Premier League standing and points total, with the club now unable to match their previous low of 75 points.
Much to his despair Moyes continues to break unwanted records, with the City loss United’s 10th of the campaign - their worst in Premier League history. They have now been beaten a staggering six times at Old Trafford, which is just one less than the previous four seasons combined, while their record against the top-9 has been nothing short of abysmal, with Moyes' men winning just one of the 13 games.
If those in power at Untied were to lose patience with Moyes then there will be no shortage of suitors quieting up for the job. Louis Van Gaal, who has made no attempt to hide his eagerness to manage in England, is currently the favourite in the Next Man Utd Manager Market, while the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Fergie, Ryan Giggs and Diego Simeone also feature.
