Ian Holloway in trouble at Crystal Palaceby Jack Kitson / 27 August 2013, 10:13Tweet
Crystal Palace gaffer Ian Holloway is already finding life tough back in the Premier League following back-to-back defeats against Tottenham and Stoke City. The Eagles won promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs last season but have yet to register a single point on their return to the big time, which has left the under pressure Holloway fighting to cling onto his job at Selhurst Park.
Holloway's odds have been cut to 9/1 (Stan James) in the Premier League Sack Race, although under fire Newcastle boss Alan Pardew remains the 7/2 favourite for the chop. Palace suffered a narrow opening day defeat at home to Tottenham, which was followed by a 2-1 loss at Stoke on Saturday, leaving the South London side 19th in the table. They travel to Bristol City tonight (Tuesday) for the second round of the Capital One Cup, before hosting Sunderland, who are also without a win, on Sky Sports this Saturday.
According to reports both Pardew and Neil Warnock are in contention to replace Holloway, should he lose his job, with both managers available at 6/1 (Bet Victor) in the Next Crystal Palace Manager Market. Former Palace player Pardew is currently struggling at Newcastle, while Warnock has been out of work since leaving Leeds at the back end of last season.
