Martin Allen Sacked By Chesterfield

Martin Allen has been sacked by National League club Chesterfield after the Spireites dropped into the relegation zone after a 4-0 defeat to Solihull Moors yesterday.

Allen has only managed to manufacture four wins from 25 games this season, and while they have amassed a host of draws during the season yesterday's defeat was enough to see the board opt to relinquish Allen of his duties.

Assistant-manager Adrian Whitbread and head of recruitment/goalkeeper coach Carl Muggleton have also left the club along with Allen.

Academy Manager John Pemberton will take over the reigns for Saturday's huge clash with Hartlepool United as the club start their search for a new manager.
