Hull City begin interview process for a new manager

Hull City have ramped up their hunt for a new manager after holding talks with both Roberto Martinez and caretaker Mike Phelan.
The duo have been hotly linked with the top-flight post ever since it was abruptly vacated by Steve Bruce last Friday.

Martinez (6/4) has been looking for a way back into the managerial arena since losing his job at Everton back in May, while experienced coach Phelan (12/1) has been in caretaker charge of the Hull first team since Bruce’s departure last week, meaning he knows the set-up well.
However, one boss Hull are not believed to have contacted is the the current favourite for the Premier league post, Bob Bradley, who emerged as the shock frontrunner on Wednesday evening.
Le Havre boss Bradley surprisingly burst to the summit of the betting earlier in the week, and remains there this morning (Friday) at 11/10…but whether he is seriously in contention is open to debate.
Meanwhile, managerial rookies Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville (both 5/1) are each reportedly on Hull’s five-man shortlist. The former United stars are each out-of-work at the moment, but if approached they would no doubt each be tempted by taking charge of a Premier League side.
