Steve Cotterill in the running for Bristol City and Crawley Town posts

Steve Cotterill is a man in demand at the moment after emerging as the favourite in both the Bristol City and Crawley Town manager markets. The experienced boss has been banging on the Job Centre door since the start of summer after deciding not to continue working as a coach under Harry Redknapp at QPR, while his last managerial at Nottingham Forest ended nearly 17 months ago.
The 49-year-old could now finally find himself back in the dugout at some point during the next week or so, with two League One clubs reportedly queuing up for his services. Earlier this week vacancies arose at both Bristol City and Crawley who sacked Sean O’Driscoll and Richie Barker respectively, which has no doubt caught Cotterill's eye.
He has been installed as the odds-on favourite (Sky Bet) to take up the reins at City, although the likes of the recently unemployed Barker and Exeter boss Paul Tisdale are also right in the mix. Meanwhile Cotterill is also the joint favourite, alongside Danny Wilson, to be appointed the new boss of Crawley. It will certainly prove to be an interesting few days in both markets, with nothing ever straight forward and simply in the frantic management arena.
