Napoli are on the hunt for a new manager following the departure of Benitez, who is widely expected to become the new boss of Real Madrid. The Spaniard was bidding to finish is time in charge of the Naples outfit on a high, however his troops lost a 4-2 thriller at home to Lazio last weekend, which meant they missed out on the Champions League...with opponents Lazio securing the final spot.
Mihajlovic is now being touted at the man to succeed Benitez at the Stadio San Paolo. The Serb took charge of Sampdoria back in November 2013, when they were second from bottom in Serie A, and proceeded to steer the club to a creditable 12th place finish. Last term the Blucerchiati came 7th, missing out on the Europa League to neighbours Genoa, with Mihajlovic announcing his departure on Monday.
