Southampton boss Ronald Koeman returns to the top of the next Everton manager marketby Jack Kitson / 02 June 2016, 09:36Tweet
Everton are this week bidding to step up their chase to lure No.1 target Ronald Koeman to Goodison Park, which is reflected in the betting as the Southampton boss leaps to the top of the Next Everton Manager Market (now as short as evens with Bet Victor).
Koeman has been linked with a switch to Merseyside ever since Roberto Martinez was sent packing three weeks ago. However, the Saints have been adamant that the Dutchman, who was out at 10/1 yesterday (Wednesday), is staying on the south coast, while Koeman himself has never expressed a desire to leave St Mary's.
But the latest movement in the betting will no doubt fill Saints fans with fear as Everton attempt to splash the cash in their pursuit of Koeman. The 53-year-old has returned from a relaxing break in the caribbean, and with his contract talks with the Saints showing little signs of progression, a move North could now be in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, Sevilla's three-time Europa League winning boss Unai Emery remains bang in the mix, as do Frank De Boer, Manuel Pellegrini, and former toffees manager David Moyes.
