Benitez Odds Slashed as Liverpool Go Down at Fulham

Rafa looks to be under increasing pressure at AnfieldRafa Benitez has once again been making all the headlines as his Liverpool team have gone from heroes to zeros in under a week with the Reds losing their fifth league match of the season at Fulham on Saturday, the 3-1 defeat also saw two Liverpool players getting their marching orders as their season continues to crumble. VC Bet have reacted to the news by slashing the odds on Rafa in the Next Premier League Manager to be Sacked Betting and he is now the second favourite at around the 4/1 mark following the Craven Cottage debacle. All of this has come after Liverpool wiped the floor with Man United at Anfield last week with a convincing 2-0 win but it appears they still struggle to get themselves up for the so-called lesser matches like the one at Craven Cottage at the weekend.

Liverpool now have a must win match away in Lyon on Wednesday night and another defeat there could spell the end of Benitez's five-year reign on Merseyside, that would mean being all but knocked out of the Champions League which would be disastrous for the clubs finances and their future as a top four club. Rafa has remained defiant throughout the season so far and he has shown no signs of wavering but if the performance at Fulham is anything to go by then it may be that he is just starting to lose the dressing room and that could be the death knell for the Spaniards hopes of remaining in charge for much longer.

With many believing Rafa will not last much longer VC Bet have also decided to open up the Next Liverpool Manager Odds and that is looking like an interesting market with plenty of top names in the frame for the job. Kenny Dalglish is the early favourite to return to the job that he left almost 20 years ago but the Sack Race sources close to the Dalglish camp have cast some doubt as to whether he would want a return to full-time management after such a long break. Other names in the frame include Jose Mourinho, Guus Hiddink and Jurgen Klinsmann who was linked with the job a couple of years ago.
