Notts County sack Keith Curleby Mick Bates / 03 February 2013, 20:46Tweet
We are only three days into the month and already the managerial merry-go-round is in overdrive as we lose our second manager of the day. League One side Notts County have sacked manager Keith Curle along with his first team coaches Colin Lee and Colin West.
The sacking follows the 2-1 defeat at the weekend to bottom club Hartlepool which has left the Magpies in 10th place in the League One table with 43 points from 31 games. The side are just five points off from reaching the play offs but club chairman Ray Trew indicated that attendances at Meadow Lane had dropped in recent weeks and he was making a business decision to improve things at the club.
Curle had started his tenure with County in the 2011/12 campaign narrowly missing out on entering the play offs by goal difference. He started the current season in excellent form but recent results mainly at Meadow Lane have seen the side falter.
County have a record of going through managers, since 2002 the side have now gone through 13 managers with Curle only lasting just over 11 months in the role.
At present there is no stand out favourite in the next Notts County manager betting odds , although there are several high profile names in the mix which includes Gary Megson, the recently sacked Simon Grayson and Phil Brown are featured amongst the usual suspects.
