Chelsea boss Antonio Conte new favourite for the sackby Jack Kitson / 03 November 2017, 15:20Tweet
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been installed as the new favourite in the Premier League Sack Race with rumours rife that owner Roman Abramovich is set to pull the trigger.
Reports from Spanish newspaper Marca speculate that the Russian billionaire is running out of patience with the Italian, with the relationship between the pair in tatters.
And now Conte has been cut from 10/1 to the 2/1 favourite to be the Next Premier League Manager To Leave following the departures of Frank de Boer, Craig Shakespeare, and most recently Ronald Koeman.
However, in Friday’s press conference Conte said that he met with Abramovich at a Chelsea training session:
"Yes, Mr Abramovich was in Cobham on Sunday after the Bournemouth game to watch the training, to speak. But this is normal.
“Honestly we spoke about the Bournemouth game and the first game against Roma. We spoke about this.

Conte’s future at the club has been the subject of the debate ever since he hoisted the Premier League title back in May.
The Italian was reportedly keen to move back to his homeland, with both Inter Milan and AC Milan believed to be interested in his services.
In the end Conte put pen to paper and signed an improved two-year £19.2m deal with the Blues, however this did not extend his stay at the capital club as he’d previously penned a three-year deal on his arrival the previous summer.
On the opening day of the season the defending champions were stunned by Burnley at the Bridge, while they’ve since been beaten by Man City and basement club Crystal Palace, leaving Conte’s troops nine points behind Guardiola’s men as they head into Sunday’s crunch clash with Man Utd.
Should Chelsea lose, and Man City beat Arsenal, then they’d be a whopping 12 points off the pace after just 11 matches...which would significantly increse the pressure on Conte during the international break.
At the time of writing former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is the 15/8 favourite in the Next Chelsea Manager Market, followed by the likes of Thomas Tuchel, Max Allegri, Joachim Low and Luis Enrique.
