Former Watford boss Walter Mazzarri on Everton's radar

Former Watford manager Walter Mazzarri is being linked with a surprise return to the Premier League as the future of struggling Everton boss Ronald Koeman continues to dominate conversation over on the blue-half of Merseyside.
The under-fire Koeman is fearing the sack after a poor start to the season during which big-spending Everton have struggled at both ends of the park, registering only two wins from their last 10 league and cup games.
Over the weekend the goal-shy Toffees suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Sean Dyche’s Burnley, a result which left the under-performing club 16th in the Premier League, having lost four of their opening seven games.
Everton, who are known for being loyal to managers, have already handed Koeman the dreaded vote of confidence, but according to reports the club’s hierarchy are eyeing up potential replacements for Koeman, who is the red-hot 2/5 favourite in the Premier League Sack Race.
Former Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti emerged as the early frontrunner in the recently opened Next Everton Manager Market, however it’s since been revealed that the Italian will take a 10-month break from life in the dugout (Sky Italia) - sorry Everton fans.

A more perplexing name in the frame is former Inter and Napoli boss Mazzarri (25/1), who left Watford after a single season (2016/17) - the third consecutive Hornets boss to do so following the departures of Quique Sanchez Flores and Slavisa Jokanovic.
Under Mazzarri Watford enjoyed a decent start to the previous campaign, and were up in 7th in November, however a sorry finale consisting of six successive defeats cost the Italian his job at Vicarage Road.
Reports in Italy are now linking Mazzarri with a shock move to Everton, with the Merseyside outfit apparently making contact with the 56-year-old, news which has tickled Watford fans, while it’s fair to say that Toffees supporters are not inspired at this possibility.
Oi Everton Mazzarri is quality and 100% of watford fans were angered when he left. Tactical genius and has a way with his players, top bloke

If Everton get Mazzarri I wouldn't be worried in the slightest, one of the dimmest, poorest and least inspiring coaches.

Mazzarri to Everton would just about confirm their relegation.

In what world did Everton see Mazzarri's work at #WatfordFC and think, i'll have some of that.
