Have Barnsley finally found their man in Daniel Stendel?

Barnsley could be on the brink of ending their month long search for a new manager after Daniel Stendel emerged as the shock new favourite for the job, before betting was then suspended (Bet Victor).
However, Stendel to Barnsley is still available with other bookmakers as the hot odds-on frontrunner for the League One vacancy.
The Tykes axed Jose Morais at the end of last season - he won only 3 of his 15 matches - following the club's relegation down to League One.
Former Peterborough boss Grant McCann, who played for Barnsley, Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth and the now ex Livingston boss David Hopkin had been three of the main contenders in the betting.
Meanwhile, former Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom emerged as a surprise name in the frame on Friday following his departure from Yorkshire rivals Leeds.
But now a new name could be heading to Oakwell in the form of German gaffer Stendel.
The 44-year-old is currently available for hire, with his only previous job in the dugout a year long spell in charge of Hannover.
He was placed in charge back in April 2016 on an interim basis, and while he was unable to keep the club in the Bundesliga - the club's fate had pretty much already been confirmed - he was awarded a permanent two-year contract.
However, he was sacked in March 2017 with the club 4th in the second-tier, with his replacement Andre Breitenreiter then leading the club back up to the top-flight.
During his time in charge of Hannover Stendel led the German club to 15 wins and seven draws from 28 matches, with an impresive win rate of 53.57%.
