Coventry City Close To Naming New Managerby Jack Kitson / 04 March 2013, 15:41Tweet
Coventry City are reportedly drawing closer to name their new boss, with four managers believed to be in contention for the hot seat. The Sky Blues have been searching for Mark Robins' successor since Valentine's Day, when he left to take charge of Championship side Huddersfield Town. However, a new gaffer may now be in the dugout before Saturday's trip to Scunthorpe.
Coventry have won two and lost two of their four League One games since Robins' departure. Saturday's defeat at home to promotion rivals Swindon Town saw City drop seven points adrift of the play-offs with 10 games remaining. However, their next four games are against teams struggling towards the bottom of the table, meaning their manager has an excellent opportunity to get off to a flying start and steer the club into the top six.
Keith Curle remains the hot favourite in the Next Coventry City Manager Odds, with the likes of caretaker boss Lee Carsley, Phil Brown and Tim Sherwood featuring in the betting. Reports are also linking Paul Dickov and former Sky Blues manager Eric Black with the vacancy, while Steven Pressley could be worth a punt.
