West Brom takeover puts Tony Pulis in the spotlightby Jack Kitson / 05 August 2016, 09:42Tweet
Tony Pulis is now the joint 5/1 (Sky Bet) favourite for the sack - alongside Aitor Karanka and Francesco Guidolin - after news broke that West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace has agreed to sell the club.
The Baggies are set to be taken over by a Chinese investment group, with the former Blackburn Rovers chief executive John Williams replacing Peace.
New owner, entrepreneur Guochuan Lai, has stated that he won't change the club's ethos, however the subject of boss Pulis has not yet been mentioned, although the change of ownership will inevitably put his future up in the air.
Pulis has been in charge of West Brom since the start of 2015 when he replaced Alan Irvine.
The club have gone on to finish 13th and 14th under the 58-year-old, but many are predicting his troops to struggle this term, with the Midlands outfit priced at 5/2 (Bet Victor) to suffer the dreaded drop out of the Premier League.
