Ian Culverhouse shock contenter for Leeds United job

Ian Culverhouse has emerged as the shock new favourite for the Leeds United managerial vacancy. The former Aston Villa, Norwich and Colchester assistant boss has today (Friday) stormed into the frame, with Sky Bet pricing him at just 9/4 to be the man who replaces Dave Hockaday, who lost his job last week.
In all three of his previous jobs Culverhouse worked as an assistant to Paul Lambert, however he is now believed to be eager to branch out and become a manager in his own right. The 49-year-old, who left Villa Park during the summer, has reportedly thrown his hat in the ring for Elland Road job, although his lack of experience is likely to count against him. On the other hand anything is possible with Whites owner Massimo Cellino running the show.
Meanwhile caretaker boss Neil Redfearn, Giuseppe Sannino and Steve Clarke all remain in the mix in the Next Leeds United Manager Market. Elsewhere Carlos Queriroz has hovered into contention at just 11/4 with Paddy Power, whereas Chris Hughton can now be found as short as 4/1 with Sky Bet.
