Gazza Ready For Management With Non-League Garforth Town

Paul Gascoigne looks ready to make his return to football with reports suggesting he is set to be installed as the new Manager on Non-League Garforth Town, the former England star has struggled to come to terms with retiring from the playing side but will be hoping that he can make a success of Management. The troubled star has had one or two forays into Management before with ill fated spells at Boston United and Kettering on his record, but he must be looking to get back into the game and sees Garforth Town as the ideal destination to do just that.
Critics will say that Gazza will walk out on the club when the going gets tough but there will be thousands of fans across the country willing the former Spurs and Lazio player to get his life back on track, in recent times he has suffered with alcoholism and he has only just recovered from a car crash earlier in the year meaning that this could be a crucial stage in the life and career of the once great midfielder. As a player Gazza is remembred fondly by all with his tears in the World Cup Semi Final in 1990 an iconic moment, while the same can be said of his remarkable goal against Scotland during Euro 96 but he has fallen into decline into his retirement with personal problems dominating the headlines in recent years.
It was reported last week that Gazza had signed a contract to take over the reigns at Garforth Town but that was not the case with Gascoigne delaying the talks, he is expected to sign the deal though in the near future as he looks to make his name at the tiny club who play in the Evo Stik First Division North. It may not be the big stadiums that Gazza is used to but if he can make a success of the job he may be able to work his way up the football ladder, he will need to impart his enthusiasm on the players which he used so well during his playing career.
The Sack Race will be wishing Paul Gascoigne all the best if and when he arrives at Garforth Town as he looks to get his life back on track, he has clearly been through some difficult times but this could be just the tonic he needs as he looks to give something back to the game that he so dearly loves.
