Former Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini shoots into contention for the Hull City postby Jack Kitson / 08 August 2016, 12:00Tweet
Roberto Mancini may only have left Inter Milan mere moments ago, but the Italian is already being linked with an instant return to the dugout.
The former Man City boss has stormed into contention to become the Next Hull City Manager after his odds were cut from 66/1 down to 18/1 in the blink of an eye.
Hull have, of course, been linked with just about everyone since Steve Bruce sensationally quit over two weeks ago.
The likes of Chris Coleman, Gianfranco Zola, Bob Bradley, and Roberto Martinez have all led the betting at some point or another, while it's currently caretaker boss Mike Phelan who currently tops the pile...with just five days to go until Hull's opening game against defending champions Leicester.
The latest Mancini movement will come as a big surprise to some extent, but this is the norm when a boss leaves his post.
Hull fans have become accustomed to gaffers springing out of no where in the betting - Neil Warnock, Tim Sherwood and Phil Brown to name a few - only to then see them drift out of contention.
The Mancini link makes for a great rumour, while it has certainly created some buzz, however it's difficult to envision the Premier League winning manager returning to England at this moment in time.
