Is Antonio Conte staying at Chelsea?

Is this the picture that confirms Antonio Conte is staying on at Chelsea? Or is he merely fulfilling his contract obligations before making way for fellow Italian Maurizio Sarri?

Over the weekend Conte’s brother Daniele posted a snap on Instagram - scroll down to see - showing his sibling and his coaching staff in Chelsea gear at the club’s Cobham training centre, along with the caption:

Come on Chelsea Come on Team Conte!!! Chelsea 2018/19.

Chelsea’s opening pre-season training session ahead of the rapidly approaching 2018/19 campaign saw the return of the likes of Alvaro Morata, David Luiz and Cesc Fabregas who were all pictured doing gym and speed work, although not under the supervision of Conte.

Chelsea are preparing for their first pre-season fixture against Perth Glory on July 23 before they venture off for the International Champions Cup where they do battle with Arsenal, Inter Milan and Sevilla.

The Blues, who won the FA Cup under Conte last term, then face the defending Premier League champions Man City in the Community Shield, while their opening top-flight fixture is away to David Wagner’s Huddersfield on August 11.

Napoli’s former boss Sarri, who remains contracted to the Naples club, is still widely expected to make the switch to Stamford Bridge, although the saga is becoming almost comical now following a summer of rampant rumours and speculation.

Chelsea have yet to agree upon a compensation fee for Sarri, while an appointment would mean they will also have to shed out a £9m pay-off to Conte, who still has a year left on his contract.
