Lee Clark resigns as Blackpool manager

Blackpool manager Lee Clark has resigned from the club following their relegation to League One.
The 42-year-old took over as manager with the Seasiders in October 2014, following the sacking of manager Jose Riga, the club were already firmly at the bottom of the Championship table and this is where they remained until the end of the season.
During his tenure with the club, the ex-Newcastle midfielder oversaw just three victories with the club and relegation down to League One was confirmed on 6th April 2015. Blackpool in all collected just 25 points their campaign.
The last home game of the season against Huddersfield bore witness to a mass pitch invasion by fans disenchanted not so much with relegation but over the way the club was being by its owners, the Oyston family Back at the start of the season the club had just eight professional under contract.

The invasion even included a person on a mobility scooter!
Early names in the mix for the Blackpool job include former manager Ian Holloway at 8/1 and Alan Irvine at 10/1, whoever is the next Blackpool manager will surely have an uphill climb if the club is to make an instant return to the Championship, they are currently priced at 40/1 to return.
