Fat Sam The Black Cat That Got The Cream

A week after distancing himself from the job on television, Sam Allardyce was confirmed as the new manager of Sunderland on Friday evening. Having been steadily backed all week, the former West Ham, Newcastle and Bolton boss opened talks with the struggling North East club on Friday morning and put pen to paper signing a two year deal at the club.
Allardyce's predecessor Dick Advocaat had become the Premier League's first managerial casualty of the season when leaving Sunderland on Sunday, just hours before Brendan Rodgers was sacked at Liverpool.
Big Sam has a big job on his hands, Sunderland are bottom of the league and as short as 2/9 for relegation having had a wretched start to this season.
Good luck Sam, you're going to need it!!
