Time at Club:
Bury are managed by Ryan Lowe who has been in charge of the League Two club since January 2018. The club returned to League One under Lowe in 2019.
Bury were formed in 1885 and have spent much of the years since in the bottom two divisions of the football League. The Shakers became the first ever team to score a 1000 goals in each of the four divisions back in May 2005 which highlights their struggle up and down the leagues. Bury have been unable to prove keep themselves in the top two divisions and at the moment League Two football is probably the best they can hope for.
Unfortunately for the club, Bury are perhaps best known in recent years for becoming the first team ever to be thrown out of the FA Cup. The Shakers fielded an ineligible player in the competition in 2006 and were hurled out of the tournament by the FA which had a big effect on the fortunes of the club.
A mixed set of recent results has seen Bury collect wins versus Northampton Town, Colchester United & Stevenage while suffering adverse results at Newport County, Carlisle United, Cambridge United & Swindon Town. Draws against Port Vale, Tranmere Rovers & Grimsby Town has seen them show mid-table form at best.
