Time at Club:
Eexter City play their football in League Two and are managed by Matthew Taylor, who replaced Paul Tisdale in the summer of 2018.
Exeter have played in the Football League for most of their history with the exception of a five year period period between 2003 and 2008 when they were in the Conference. Having returned to League Two, Exeter immediately gained a another promotion to League One where they remained up until 2014 when they suffered relegation down to League Two.
The man who masterminded their move up the leagues is Paul Tisdale and he remains a popular figure with the fans in the south west. Exeter are one of few clubs who are owned by their fans, the Exeter City Supporters Trust, who are at the helm and have been considered a success over the past few years.
Exeter were thrust into the media limelight back in 2002 when Michael Jackson was made an honorary director of the club. The famous popstar arrived at St James Park with Uri Gellar to the bewilderment of most onlookers, the King of Pop never returned to the South West but remained their most famous supporter until his death in 2009.
An unbeaten run of 7 wins versus Stevenage, Grimsby Town, Cambridge United, Ipswich Town, Forest Green, Newport County & Salford City and 3 draws against Colchester United, Walsall & Hartlepool United has seen Exeter City produce 16 goals at an average of 1.6 and conceding 6 has also seen them gain a 10 goal difference over this period.
