St James Park
Time at Club:
Eexter City play their football in League Two and are managed by Paul Tisdale, who is the second longest-serving manager in the top-four divisions in English football. The Grecians have been trapped in League Two for five seasons, and will once again be targetting promotion up to the third-tier after missing out in the play-off final last term.
Exeter have played in the Football League for most of their history with the exception of a five year period period between 2003 and 2008 when they were in the Conference. Having returned to League Two, Exeter immediately gained a another promotion to League One where they remained up until 2014 when they suffered relegation down to League Two.
The man who masterminded their move up the leagues is Paul Tisdale and he remains a popular figure with the fans in the south west. Exeter are one of few clubs who are owned by their fans, the Exeter City Supporters Trust, who are at the helm and have been considered a success over the past few years.
Exeter were thrust into the media limelight back in 2002 when Michael Jackson was made an honorary director of the club. The famous popstar arrived at St James Park with Uri Gellar to the bewilderment of most onlookers, the King of Pop never returned to the South West but remained their most famous supporter until his death in 2009.
Exeter City have reaped 5 wins in the last 10 games, beating Morecambe, Carlisle United, Colchester United, Chesterfield & Cambridge United. 4 draws against Ipswich Town, Lincoln City, Crawley Town & Accrington Stanley and defeats to Stevenage has seen them score 16 at an average of 1.6 goals per game while shipping 11.
