Time at Club:
Gillingham are managed by Steve Lovell who has been in permanent charge since November 2017.
Established in 1893, Gillingham finally gained promotion into the Football League in 1920, but were voted out of the league after the 1937-1938 season, before gaining a path back into the football league when the amount of league clubs were extended from 88 to 92.
Since then Gillingham have been a recognised football league team for most of that time and even gained promotion to Division One through the play-offs in the 1999-2000 season.
The Gills have had several financial problems in the last decade with the ITV Digital breakdown and a brace of relegations not helping their state, but times now look rosier and they can now set their sights on returning to the higher echelons of the Football League under Lovell.
Gillingham have reaped 6 wins in the last 10 games, beating Burton Albion, Cardiff City, Portsmouth, Scunthorpe United, Slough Town & Bristol Rovers. 1 draws against Wycombe Wanderers and defeats to Southend United, Doncaster Rovers & Charlton Athletic has seen them score 14 at an average of 1.4 goals per game while shipping 12.
